Overview
Contact tracing has been used for decades by state and local health departments to slow or stop the spread of infectious diseases. The success of contact tracing hinges on a community’s level of participation. Communicating clearly and responsively with the public can help them understand and accept contact tracing as an important way to protect friends, family, and community members from potential infections. On Wednesday, December 9, subject matter experts discussed the importance of building community trust and its impact on contact tracing during COVID-19.
